Discipleship Day 2017

Choose Life?

Sunday 17th September 2017, King Edward VI School

Adrian HollowayGod has chosen to make Jesus known to us - how wonderful! At Discipleship Day this year, we are going to remind ourselves of what Jesus has done for us. Adrian Holloway, a former BBC radio and TV presenter, will be helping us explore Colossians 1: Christ in you, the hope of glory.

There will also be several choices of seminar that will help us to think practically about how we can share Jesus with those around us. This year, the afternoon of Discipleship Day will be a Family Fun Day that we can invite family, friends and neighbours to join us for lunch and fun activities. It is set to be a great day and we hope that you will be able to join us at King Edwards School!

God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27

As we grow in relationship with friends, neighbours and colleagues we will get asked all sorts of questions about our faith. This session’s aim is to give you a base from which to work from in how to wisely and courageously answer the many questions asked about our hope (1 Peter 3:15).

What are the key beliefs we need to emphasise and the important patterns to begin to build into the life of a new disciple? We will explore these questions, and seek to offer some practical tools which can help us as we walk alongside those who are setting out on the Christian life.
