Refresh is an inspiring and exciting, but challenging vision. There are several ways in which you can contribute towards it.

Refresh is a single project, based on a single vision to which God is calling us – a vision in which every one of us can be involved – but there are two routes to shaping your giving: giving towards the increased annual budget and giving towards the building refurbishment.

Giving towards our annual budget

Giving towards our annual budget helps to fund the new ministry developments as well as the rest of our ongoing work.

Regular giving

Please use the regular standing order form to reshape your regular giving, if paying through your bank account is your preferred method of giving.

You may currently give through the weekly offering bag, and feel that you would now like to formalise your giving. Again, please use the regular standing order form. You may, of course, continue to give through the offering bags if you prefer.

Annual and one-off contributions

These can also be made via cheque (payable to Above Bar Church) or cash. Please put these into the offering on Sundays, or send them to the church office.

If you are a UK tax payer, please be tax efficient by completing a Gift Aid declaration form with your giving. This only needs to be done once, and enables the church to reclaim from HMRC the tax you have paid on the amount of your gift.

Giving towards the building refurbishment

This programme will be phased over the next two years or so, commencing later in 2014. The details are outlined in the Refresh brochure, but the key figure to understand is that the estimated cost of the project is £1.4 million. There are four main ways in which you can support, contribute to and donate to the building route:

Online giving

This is a quick, safe and simple way to give. Please include Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer.

You can make an online donation via mydonate

Regular giving

Please use the dedicated Building Refresh standing order form, if paying through your bank account is your preferred method of giving.

Annual and one-off contributions

These can be made via cheque (payable to Above Bar Church) or cash. Please put these into the offering on Sundays, or send them to the church office, in an envelope clearly marked Building Refresh. If you are a UK taxpayer, please make sure you have completed a Gift Aid declaration form, or include one with your first gift.

Gift Aid

If you are a UK tax payer, please be tax efficient by completing a Gift Aid declaration form with your giving. This only needs to be done once, and enables the church to reclaim from HMRC the tax you have paid on the amount of your gift.
