Clusters: mission in Southampton
God is blessing us to make us a blessing in Southampton, so that Jesus has the supremacy. We want to be more effective in serving and making a difference in our city. This is why we’re committed to clusters: but what are they?
Church isn’t just about consuming a service every Sunday, but about living out a genuine faith amongst ordinary people both inside and outside the church – we can’t live it alone!
Where you belong
Authentic community is an essential building block of our church. Communities are also a place where we can bless and serve our city together. It’s a place where we can be known, supported and challenged to go deeper in our relationship with each other and to grow as disciples of Jesus.
We call these communities ‘clusters'. We believe real community is a great way for individuals to get to know people within the church, and is a great forum for ongoing discipleship and personal growth. It also provides real opportunity to live out or discover our God-given calling and to engage in mission to our city.
Where you engage
Clusters are mid-sized groups (normally between 15 and 50 people) which share a common passion to reach a particular area or group of people. They are vibrant communities where God’s love is shared and experienced, with a clear focus on mission.
Clusters come in three types:
- Networks: growing with others who share our passions. See what we do »
- Neighbourhoods: caring for the places we live in. See where we live »
- Needs: looking out for those in real need. See where we serve »
