We are committed to depending on God. We want to be a church that prays, acknowledging that we need his help for everything and seeking his direction for our future.
Personal prayer
The Bible gives us some examples of great prayers, which we can use to pray for others. Here is one example from Ephesians 3:16–19 (NIV):
“I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”

Praying together
We know we need God to help us in all things. We also know that we need to get better at remembering that. Each Monday at 7.30pm, we meet in the church building to pray about the life of the church.
We begin by praising God for who he is and what he is done, then we pray in small groups for individuals in the church and for different areas of church ministry.
Clusters often hold regular prayer meetings for their networks or neighbourhoods. Check the calendar to find out when these events are coming up.
If you would like people in the church to pray for you or for something that’s happening in your life, you can send an email to our prayer request team. (Your email will be forwarded to church members who have offered to pray for people’s needs.)
Prayer Days
Join us in committing a particular part of church life to God. Prayer Days happen about every two months, and focus on a different theme each time. We have a responsibility to seek God together as a church family, and to cry to him for the life and mission of our church in the world.
Look out for the next Prayer Day flyer on a Sunday or in the Newsroom, and think about how you could join us to pray, either at home or work, or by coming to the church building.
