Every evening from 10 to 14 October 2017 there will be a Real Lives event at Above Bar Church. Real Lives is a time to hear real stories from real lives that have been changed by Jesus.

The church building will be transformed into a café-style setting with refreshments and live music. Each evening will include an interview of a different guest and a short talk where the Gospel is explained by either me or Andrew Page. It looks to be a fun and inspiring time!

Each night Andrew or I will share the Gospel and invite people to make a commitment. But please do not think, ‘Let the evangelists do the evangelism!’ For Real Lives to work it requires everyone to be actively involved.

So what can you do? Let’s start with the heavy lifting: prayer. If Real Lives is going to be anything more than an interesting evening out, it must be soaked in prayer. And if anything remarkable is going to happen in our friends who attend, we have got to cry out to the one who makes the ordinary extraordinary. Make no mistake about it — following Jesus is a supernatural thing!

So why not choose three people who you would love to see come to Real Lives and come to know Jesus? Start praying for them now!

‘This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.’ (1 John 5:14)
