‘Choose Life?’ That’s our theme for Discipleship Day. We will be exploring Colossians 1 together and celebrating the fact that God has chosen to make Jesus known to us – which is wonderful news!

Our guest speaker is Adrian Holloway. Adrian is a gifted communicator who explores the relevance and life-changing potential of Christianity in the 21st Century. Formerly a BBC radio and TV presenter, he started working life as a football reporter at The Times newspaper. His first novel, The Shock of Your Life, has been translated into many languages. The sequel, Aftershock, tackles the most common objections to Christianity. He is based at Everyday Church, a large multi-site church in South West London, with his wife Julia and their four daughters.
We’ll have the opportunity to attend a choice of seminars, helping us to choose to share the good news of Jesus with those in our lives.
Building bridges: How do you evoke curiosity in the gospel with people who don’t believe in God or share little interest in Christianity? A practical discussion about how to include non-Christian friends in your Christian community. It might not be as hard or awkward as you think it might be!
Answering questions: As we grow in relationship with friends, neighbours and colleagues we will get asked all sorts of questions about our faith. Whether the questions are tricky or straightforward, genuine or antagonistic, our response is very important. This session will give you a base from which to work from as you wisely and courageously answer questions people ask about the hope that we have (1 Peter 3:15).
First steps on the journey of faith: What are the key beliefs we need to emphasise and the patterns we need to build in the life of a new disciple? We will explore this question, and seek to offer some practical tools which can help us as we walk alongside those who are setting out on the Christian life.
