How to find hope during Coronavirus

Responding to the Easter message?

Coronavirus has changed all of our lives suddenly. Some of us have been left feeling that life is uncertain and fragile.

Many of us are looking for hope. Something to give us the courage to respond well. Christians believe that Jesus gives us such hope – through his death on the cross and resurrection from the dead.

The good news is that he offers that hope to you, whoever you are and whatever you have done!

Join our Alpha course

Our next Alpha course starts on 23 April. Alpha is a course for people who have questions and objections about Christianity, or who simply want to explore what the Christian faith is all about. Read more about it in this blog post.

This will be the first time we have run Alpha online! The course will meet via Zoom. At 7pm each Thursday, people can join the meeting, get to know others and watch brilliant videos that will be screen-shared – exploring different questions like:

  • Is There More to Life Than This?
  • Who is Jesus?
  • Why Did Jesus Have to Die?

To participate you need an internet connection, and a phone or computer with a camera. If you are interested, email alpha@abovebarchurch.org.uk and you will receive instructions on downloading Zoom, a Zoom meeting link and password.
