Poul and Carol Joensen

Poul is from the Faroe Islands and Carol is British.  

Poul & Carol work with New Tribes Mission and lived in Papua New Guinea for 17 years doing church planting and Bible translation among the Sorimi people.

Since 2013 they have lived back in the UK, continuing to translate the Sorimi New Testament and take yearly trips to further equip the 3 Sorimi churches. They work at the mission college participating in the training of new missionaries.

Please Pray

  • Praise God for the completion translation of the Sorimi New Testament which was shared with the churches at the dedication in August 2024.

  • Sorimi believers to continue to grow in the Lord and to stay in God’s Word.

  • The leaders in the Sorimi church to remain faithful as they serve the Lord 

  • Poul and Carol to be an encouragement to the NTM college students during their training program
